Self-Stirring Mug
There is nothing better in life than a well-mixed beverage. With the self-stirring mug, you no longer have to worry about that kick of sugar towards the end of your coffee or bitter dregs of tea. All you have to do is touch a button to stir your drink– some day you’ll be telling your grandchildren what is was like to stir by hand.
The self-stirring coffee mug has a disk at the bottom powered by two AAA batteries in the base (I recommend using rechargeables). It spins at 3,000RPMS, which is roughly half the speed of a computer hard drive. This makes it great for not only keeping your drink well-mixed, but making power-based beverages such as hot chocolate as well. Plop in the mix, hit the button and drink. I can see this cutting down on a lot of mess in the kitchen.
Note that for obvious reasons the self-stirring mug can’t go in the dishwasher. It does has a stainless steel exterior and removable lid, however. You can use it as a travel mug or keep it by your desk
This coffee mug is no doubt a clever product, but I see room for a few improvements. First, it would be great to see an insulated or heated version. What’s the use of stirring a cold drink? A version that plugs into a USB port or wall outlet to keep your drink warm would be awesome. An insulated chamber at the very least would be a god-send. Many customers would likely appreciate a few color options other than boring grey as well. Overall, however, I don’t think you can go wrong with this mug. It would make a great gift for a coworker or gadget fanatic.

This mug is actually insulated. I got one of these – it keeps my coffee warm for a pretty long time. I got mine from http://stirringmug.com/ – not sure if that’s the same mug though, the picture is a little different
