Cuisinart Pink Coffee Maker

Pink may not be everyone’s color of choice for the kitchen, but here at CoffeeKrave we like anything that supports a good cause. Cuisinart recently launched a pink coffee maker to support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Cuisinart will donate a portion of each purchase of a designated “pink series” product to breast cancer research, which includes this special pink Cuisinart DCC-1100 coffee maker.

Cuisinart Pink Coffee Maker

The Cuisinart is a good choice if you want a pink coffee maker for your home, dorm room or office. Sometimes you just have to have a certain color, and if pink is it, you can’t go wrong with this coffee maker. It’s an excellent alternative to the cheap $20 pink coffee makers you will find at Target and Wal-Mart.

This fully programmable model comes loaded with features, including a 12-cup capacity, glass carafe, water filter, permanent gold mesh filter and a self-cleaning function. There is a 1-4 cup brew option for smaller pots as well. The pink coffee coffee maker also boasts a 3-year warranty.

If the $60 price tag of the Cuisinart DCC-1100 is too much for you, consider the smaller pink Cuisinart DCC-450. At $30 this pink coffee maker has no permanent filter, meaning you will have to buy your own paper filters. It only brews up to 4 cups. This should be fine if you are the only coffee drinker using it, and the steel carafe will keep your brew warm for a long time.

Personally, I do not like pink because it reminds myself too much of Barbie. Everyone has different tastes, though, and a pink coffee maker could look quite chic. And all the power to you if you choose a pink Cuisinart DCC-1100 or Cuisinart DCC-450 and contribute to a good cause. Cuisinart’s “pink series” initiative is just the right thing to do.
